Meet
I was born in Montana and raised in a Conservative Christian family. We were not really very Religious other than when I was young I went to Sunday School for a bit. After about age 6 we pretty much quit going to Church and rarely discussed Religion.
We moved to Seattle when I was a young teenager in 1969. When I graduated High School in 1974 I got a job working for the Railroad. I started working with computers there in 1974. As technology developed I found life became more and more difficult and less satisfying. I worked there for 23 years before taking a voluntary severance to drop out of the rat race and opt for a life of voluntary simplicity.
Since that time I’ve worked in several different industry’s from carpentry, concrete, to warehouse work. I’ve also owned two small business’ since leaving the railroad. Currently I consider myself semi-retired, doing only enough to get by.
It was at the railroad when I was first introduced to philosophy and eastern religions. Starting in 1974 a coworker and I used to spend hours listening to lectures by Alan Watts on the Radio. I became interested in many different philosophy’s and read as much as I could about philosophy, Eastern Religions, and other religions. I’ve taken the totality of all of that and developed my own beliefs that do not really fit into any organized belief system.
I’ve been riding motorcycles since 1975 but it wasn’t until 1997 that I was finally able to buy my Harley Davidson Low Rider and really call myself a biker. I rode with a Motorcycle Club for 9 years before I retired. That is where I earned the nickname Boom. I still ride as much as I can, especially when the weather is nice. I have thousands of miles of cold rainy riding under my belt but it’s just not as much fun.
Some of the things I write will be controversial to some people. Others will just think I’m crazy. In fact, in 35 years I’ve only met 2 other people who could understand my philosophy. So I have just remained silent on the subject for the most part. But my philosophy will show through in my writing.
I’m basically a Conservative. I believe in maintaining my own heritage and culture. I believe in small, efficient government. (though I don’t have my hopes up on that one) I believe the government should keep me safe and stay out of my life so I can freely pursue my dreams.
And finally, I believe that this country is on the brink. Events are unfolding faster than we can process. We may have already passed the point of no return. So I am writing this blog. It’s the only outlet I have to try and warn of the possible dangers ahead.
Below will be an ebook I am writing about Religion and my Philosophy.
